The Magnificent Goldberg
Funky JOS 8 Counts For Rita It seemed a bit quiet, to me, or is it my computer? Was that Eddie Harris on soprano? He only played 4 notes on tenor at the end, not enough to recognise him by. MG
The Magnificent Goldberg
Oh boy! And hasn't Rodney Jones improved? Wonder when it was done. MG
Jim Alfredson
Oh boy! And hasn't Rodney Jones improved? Wonder when it was done. MG I don't think that's Rodney Jones since the video states it is "Mel Henderson" and Lonnie Smith and the poster has two other movies up from the same club, same date, with Yoron Israel on drums. That must mean Mel Henderson is the guitarist.

MG Just nipped out for another shufti at the video. NOW I see the name! What a thicko! JSngry
DON'T LOOK INTO HIS EYES! HE'LL HYPNOTIZE YOU!!! Dude, I saw a Korla Pandit 78 once at a flea market. Has a little picture of his head on the label. I passed. But now, actually having heard him, I wish I'd picked it up. Just for the label. Yeah, it looked like this:
The Magnificent Goldberg
That's a really great video Roost - thanks for posting it. It's terrific to see her (anyone) playing Pee Wee Ellis' "Pistachio" a great tune rarely done. Rhoda herself looks great - no danger of us losing her in the near future I guess. Very interesting idea for an organ trio - org, tbn and dms. No organist has ever done much with trombone. MG
