bertrand
I'm not confusing the two. I'm 99% sure some of the tracks in the Hill Mosaic were listed as 'rejected' in the 2nd edition of the discography. Also, there were changes from edition 1 to edition 2: the alternates from Buhaina's Delight went from rejected to issued; the Wayne Shorter 10/70 session went from unissued to rejected. Bertrand. Peter Friedman
I have a CD copy of the Blue Note session - Kenny Dorham - Blue Lament - that was rejected for release. Listened to it yesterday. In my opinion it is a good but not outstanding session. Kenny Drew, Grant Green and the rhythm section play very very well. Though Kenny Dorham and Charles Davis are not at their very best, they certainly play well enough for this to have been released. I have heard a large number of CDs that have been released that were clearly less interesting and enjoyable than this one.
