Hi all,

A few weeks ago Seattle’s ‘Earshot Jazz’ selected my band as the “Emerging Jazz Artist of the Year”. We’re called The Monktail Creative Music Concern (M.C.M.C.) and I’d love for you to check out some of the stuff we’ve been doing.

The following are newspaper articles about us:

Yeah, dude, I knew. It just kinda got "lost" in the middle of all the other stuff. Glad to see you pimpin' yourself. Keep it up!

You know, we could put an "Organissimo Forums All Stars" multi-band package on the road and come to every members hometown and sleep in their houses and eat their food and "know" their neighbors and never be sleepy or hungry or horny ever again!

THAT'S why I became a musician, dammit - comfort without responsibility!

Nice to read about the good work and all the exposure you're getting. What is your role in this endeavour? (are you John Ewing on percussion?)

And, what's up with this:

I really liked the creative interplay. This is probably to the chagrin of one of the saxophonists, who loudly whined about not wanting his name in print. Despite his asinine attitude, he was a talented musician, and the rest of Monktail is also talented, professional, and very entertaining.

?

JSngry, I like the all-stars idea. :P Seriously, I hope that just once before we all call it quits, our paths might cross and we can share the stage for a couple of jams.

Yes, I am that percussionist. Glad to see that some of you have been listening in. We have a CD coming out in the summer, and plan a west coast tour come fall. If anyone has any connection regarding possible venues and contacts please let me know. And again, thanks for checkin' it out.

He's just a crazy motherfucker that's all. He was trying to mess with that poor girl (interviewer). I think he was a little miffed that they sent someone who knows nothing (and I mean NOTHING!) about jazz or improvised music to do the story on us. She came to see Limp Bizkit and wound up seeing free jazz on acid. Luckily she was cool enough to acknowledge her ignorance and even say she liked it. :D
