I rediscovered this a while ago and am now wth the Jones-Smith Inc. group, Basie's Bad Boys and upcoming the Kansas City Seven. What a treasure of a boxset.

Excellent set, one that I need to revisit as well.

Right now, starting off with disc 1 of some Brownie:

Five months without music, I've recently been binge listening to all my twenty-or-so complete Black Saint and Soul Note sets.  Paul Motian at the moment.

Any music is great; these have the edge of being easy to get to in my collection.

Rolled through Teddy Wilson, Wingy Manone, and solo sessions; now really enjoying the Cab Calloway elements of this box.

And enjoying it immensly. Not only because of Charlie Christian, also because of all of the others. I was listening to Hampton's Mosaic before, so he's a link.

That must be an interesting boxset. When was it released? Is it still available?

It was released in 2004 and is out of print as all the Fantasy titles released before Concord are. It can be had cheaply though in the used market.
