Niko
from Nabil Totah's memories: The cover shows Zoot and I sitting on a bench in Pennsylvania Station with a sign over the gate saying: "Jazzville." World War II laws were still in effect that prohibited picture-taking in public facilities. The photographers were just finishing the shoot when a group of police charged in to arrest us. Fortunately, we were able to avoid that embarrassment by convincing the authorities that we were from "Life" Magazine, then a famous publication. ejp626
Same facade used again here : EDIT : You also might want to check out my current avatar ( right click , view image ) . Is this the World Trade Center? It certainly reminds me of one section of it.
ejp626
which reminds me of Actually I picked up a used copy of this largely for the cover. On a side note, it's too bad the reissued New York New York by George Russell didn't use the original cover.

Chas
Same facade used again here : Is this the World Trade Center? It certainly reminds me of one section of it. Since the Cherry was done in 1966 it can't be the World Trade Center which wasn't completed until 1970 . The facade looks like travertine . It looks like the side of Avery Fisher Hall :
