Rooster_Ties
FSNT-161 The Trumpet Player Avishai Cohen Featuring: Avishai Cohen (tp), John Sullivan (B), Jeff Ballard (d). Special Guest: Joel Frahm (ts) on #4,5,7 Wise move by the lesser-known "Avashai" to name his first CD (as leader) "The Trumpet Player". I've heard Avashai #2 on a FreshSound disc by Brett Sroka disc, and he's quite good. Kinda reminds me of Ralph Alessi, in some ways.
Nate Dorward
I was just sent Third Eye. Can't say that so far (having listened to two tracks) is sounds like more than OKish. It's vaguely Latinish, if that's your thing. There's a version of "Body & Soul" in 15/4, which is mildly interesting.
Tom in RI
Please forgive my ignorance, Avishai Cohen the trumpet player is not the same person as Avishai Cohen the bass player?
Vincent, Paris
No. Avishai Cohen the trumpet player once recorded as Avishai E. Cohen. Both come from Israel.

A Lark Ascending
I did like their e-mail: Dear costumer, on this month you’ll find a Tete Montoliou Special offer. Maybe mine was intended for back stage at the Old Vic.
