Cheap wine, beer, pizza and astounding live jazz! They even let me back in after I had to escort my wife back to our hotel (she was slightly tipsy). It has all the credentials you'd come to expect from a 'proper' jazz club. Have fun! As for record shops, the only one I really spent a while in back then was BonTon Land. Couldn't drag the wife to a Jazz show (jeez, whatever happened to compromise?). But I did happen to make it to the Agartha CD store around Wencelas Square and Bontonland (CDs & DVDs). My score for the trip was: JAMES P JOHNSON Sony/Columbia CD - Father of the Stride Piano LAWSON-HAGGART BAND - Membran CD of 2 Decca LPs LOUIS ARMSTRONG Sony CD - In Prague 1965 and a nice cheap (about $5) CD of EMIL LUDVIK - Czech Jazz/Big Band leader!!! Really enjoying this CD of material from 1940s. Trying to find another on the same label by KAMIL BEHOUNEK. Tried emailing someone on the radioservis site as to shipping to the US, but no reply yet.
