The Argos have hired Jason Maas as their receivers coach. I find that odd considering that he was a quarterback, but maybe not.

Scott Milanovich has decided to make Maas the quarterbacks coach after all.

Despite talk of a new stadium in Regina by 2016, it was announced today that $20 million would be spent on Mosaic Stadium in time for the 2013 Grey Cup there, expanding capacity to 33,000 and installing a TV screen.

The league has lost another coordinator to the American college ranks.

The Stamps' defensive coordinator Dave Walkosky has quit to join Georgia Tech's staff.

The Stamps have hired Hugh Campbell's son Rick from the Eskimos to replace him.

The Rules Committee finished up its annual meeting today, and made three recommendations. I have never known the Board of Governors to turn down a Rules Committee recommendation.

1) There will be video review of every scoring play.

2) When a ball carrier loses his helmet, the play will be blown dead immediately.

3) When a non-carrier loses his helmet, he must stop participating in the play.

Wally was named the winner of the Annis Stukus Trophy as Coach of the Year for the fourth time today. He retired on top.

I had the pleasure of meeting Wally in 1978 and Annis in 1985.

Adriano Belli is saying that it was common for players to throw their per diem into a pot, and split it among the guys who got the first sack, the first interception, knocked the QB out of the game, etc.

Apparently what surprises the Canadian players about the Saints story is that coaches were involved.

This week it is Jonathan Hefney who is apologizing for a tweet.

Considering how many pro athletes have had to apologize for their tweets, maybe the clubs should just forbid having a twitter account.
