Chas Posted June 14, 2008 Report Share Posted June 14, 2008 My question is: does anyone know what the original LP cover was? I have two here. One has a picture of an old car on a cobbled street. It looks like an old Citröen in Paris. The LP label is gray, and it says J09P 1209-1 in the dead wax on side 1. The other album cover has a picture of Ahmad done up like a dog's dinner (old Cockney slang!) in a white tux. The LP label is black, and the stuff in the dead wax is exactly the same. The two editions of the LP are identical in all other ways. 25 posts in this thread , but no answer to the original question , so again........If the CD cover ( first cover below ) is the original Argo LP cover , what's the story on the other two covers ? I could understand it if this was a mono vs. (fake) stereo thing , or a Cadet reissue thing , but that doesn't appear to be the case here .
