Saw Blanchard about a month ago and it was quite good -- wide-ranging couple of sets that included a mix of new and old. James Moody (tenor) was on board and blowin' his heart out. kh1958 Posted August 7, 2017 Report Share Posted August 7, 2017 The last few days I've been listening to the Comedian, a soundtrack album but really a Terrence Blanchard album. It's pretty good, with Kenny Barron as the other main soloist. It has three quartet performances, one piano/bass duo featuring Kenny Barron, and four pieces adding two saxophones to the quartet--Ravi Coltrane and New Orleans based favorite (of mine) Khari Allen Lee.
