Yes...John's middle name was Eugene. I didn't see the title you were talking about. But I found it interesting there was a copyright for "Mary Louis" in 1962. John told me that was the original title for the song "Funky Mama," it was the name of his first wife.

Yes, that was the registration I was referring to.

Since it is a PAu registration, I was not able to pull it for the jazz copyright project. I wish I knew what it was. One approach would be if someone from his estate wanted a copy, they would do that (for a fee).
