Looking at his website and at Wikipedia, it doesn't appear that he's recording much anymore - pretty much dub compilations and live recordings. Too bad - he made some great records. His record company does appear to have recorded some musicians associated with him and also other artists.
Sundog
This one has just been like an emotional earworm for me this week, not sure why, but it's a great performance. From "Lost on the River" which is a great cd where others write songs based on Bob Dylan lyrics he never turned into a song. "Kansas City" sung by Marcus Mumford I really enjoyed this documentary on Showtime. Watched it all the way through twice and have seen bits and pieces multiple times. Buddha the Magnificent
There's a Soundcloud cut of Chillin' from Rudresh Mahathappa's new album Bird Calls on Dave Sumner's Bird is the Worm. That cut is silly good.

A Lark Ascending
'Come Back to Me' - I don't know the Janet Jackson record this is based on but this arrangement really wormed its way into my skull last night. Haven't played the record in many years but the moment it began it reminded me of how it had done the same thing way back when. Recorded in 1982 Pepper and Cables both play excellent ballad solos.

jeffcrom
I've never heard this band, but one of them lives two blocks from me. How's that for an unimportant post? I'll check out the video later - listening to Warne Marsh right now.

Your`re right, this one is from the "3000 Volts of Stax" compilation and there is another great alternative take featured on V.A "Don`t disturb my Soul - Gospel of Chalice" (Ace) released in1991.....and agreed, this recording never fails to move me....a close second from the same source IMO is "Assassination"...
