Soulstation1
thats why you get a 3 gallon set up 24/25 glasses of beer i figure a 5 gallon (around 40 glasses) fill up will be about $1-$1.25 a glass Edited July 1, 2008 by Soulstation1
catesta
Good point. I've always had mixed feelings about kegs. On one hand beer from a properly tapped keg can be excellent, but I've had my some really piss poor glasses as well. That said I tend to stick with bottles when at home and leave the kegs to the pros. Although beer from the tap at a bar is not always good either. How long does the beer in a keg stay good anyways? AndrewHill
you must have clean beer lines at all times that is a major prob with bad tasting keg beer Exactly. Had a kegerator, and you'll know when the lines are dirty when you have little bits of black flakes in your beer. Must also have a proper amount of C02 as well-too much it gets too foamy. None and you have flat beer. That's an art in itself!
Soulstation1
http://www.beveragefactory.com/draftbeer/c...r___11091.shtml shows the conversion of frig or bev center into a kegerator
md655321
So what is your first keg gonna be? I think a kegerator would be pretty dangerous at my place, but i'm gonna get one eventually anyways.
Soulstation1
prime time to buy beer at a brewery when they have a little left of the "older" beer and they have a new beer on deck they should sell it cheaper to get rid of it
