To celebrate I will be featuring Dexter's music on my radio program tonight. The entire four hours will be about Dex, from his early mid-1940s dates to his last dates in the mid-1980s. Just out of curiosity, what's Dexter's first recorded solo--something with Armstrong, perhaps?
