Cliff Englewood
...but went looking myself and found this; Ahmad Jamal Discography 1951-2007 You'll need Adobe, but it looks good. :tup
mikeweil
... but it is not complete. It's an LP-based disco, not a session based one, and e.g. does not include the Parrott issues of Chamber Music of the New Jazz or the unissued tracks from these sessions. I'm skeptical ... a good start, it is.
Teasing the Korean
What's the story with the Ahmad Jamal Trio LP on Epic? Did this predate the Argo period? How many albums were there on Epic?

How many albums were there on Epic? His Epic recordings do indeed partially predate the Argo period. Sony released The Legendary OKeh and Epic Recordings on CD in 2005 with his 1951-1952 and 1955 recordings. Forgot to mention that Epic released 2 albums with the same title, Ahmad Jamal Trio, LN-3212 (mono) in 1956 and LN-3631 (mono)/BN-634 (stereo) in 1959. Edited May 12, 2018 by J.A.W. I just scored a copy of 3212, the one with the blonde on the cover. I was assuming this would be piano-bass-drums. Nice to hear it is a piano-guitar-bass. Love the percussive effects with the guitar! chewy-chew-chew-bean-benitez
whats with that okeh 78 on ebay, at a 8 thousand dollar asking price
mikeweil
Exaggerated, especially as these two tracks were on many LP and CD reissues. There are two 78's on Parrot that never were on LP or CD, but are available at low prices, although not in perfect condition:
