brownie Posted January 6, 2010 Report Share Posted January 6, 2010 (edited) The New Year list of recipients of the Legion of Honor includes pianist René Urtreger who was made a Knight in the Order. The Order is the highest decoration in France. Too many persons who make the list these days are not worthy of it. Not the case for Urtreger. One Frenchman worthy of the honour! The 75-year old Urtreger is still making clubs (and records) appearances and plays better than ever! Yes, and the four Carlyne reissues from the seventies... and the one later Carlyne, and the Black & Blue trio album, and "Onirica" and the one on Minium... all recommended!
