Ooh wasn't aware of the other musicians.

Thank's!

I really hope that some day all the episodes are out on dvd/cd ( as well as those from similar programs like Frankly Jazz.

What I like about this program is that they pair (is that correct English?) (lesser((known)) vocalists with unlickely instrumentalists

e.g; Dave Brubeck with Betty Roché, The Jazz Messangers with Kitty White, Hampton Hawes with julie London,...

Some of these sets were released on cd, but what I can't understand is that they omit the tracks with the vocalists ( like the Carl Perkins set on Fresh Sound, they just leave the two tracks with Anita O'Day!!!)

Anyway, here you find the complete episodeguide -> http://www.tv.com/stars-of-jazz/show/21008/episode.html?flag=1&tag=list_header;paginator;All&season=All

One final remark; "You are My Lucky Star" isn't from her album with Johnny Smith...A little bit strange since she's there for promoting the album...

Did she recorded it before/anyway?

And can someone please give me some information on her debut album? Like who the musician's are,...

Thank You!

Found the musicians on the debut lp; Joe Newman, Frank Wess, Lou Stein, Tony Mottola, Milt Hinton, Ellis Tolin.

According her birthdate (1938) she was only 17 when she recorded this one, so on the youtube clip she's just 18!

Hmmm...

Two tracks from her second live album from the 60s 'Live and Beautifull' (with the Victor Feldman Trio) can be heard via the following link;

In this clip from Ruth Price’s appearance on Stars of Jazz Bobby Troup says that the first song Price sings is from her new Roost album. She sings  “You Are My Lucky Star” (w. Arthur Freed, m. Nacio Herb Brown). This tune is not listed on the back liner as being on that album. Do any members have the LP or CD reissue and can verify what she sings on the album? The last tune on side one according to the liner is “When You Wish Upon A Star.”

I don't have the album, but this YouTube link to "When You Wish Upon A Star" from that album shows that this is, in fact, what she sings:
