kdd
Though they didn't record that much together, I have to go with Joe Henderson They are perfect foils for each other on the Sidewinder in way I don't hear from the rest of the guys (who are all brilliant). Wayne is a close second because he is on my favorite Lee records (Search for the New Land, The Procrastinater, and Standards).
randyhersom
I know that the ones getting the votes are probably the "right" answers, but I couldn't resist going off the board for ... Billy Harper! Such a shame that Last Sessions is back OOP.
Rooster_Ties
Actually, if Lee had only lived longer - and (possibly) recorded more with Harper - he might have gotten my vote too!! That very last Lee Morgan studio date (with Harper) is a *MONSTER*!!!

Guest ariceffron
I ACCIDENTLY NULL VOTED BUT I WANTED TO VOTE FOR HANK. THEY REALLY HAD A GREAT PARTNERSHIP FROM THE JAZZ MESSENGERS THROUGH MANY OF THEIR OWN SOLO LPS. I ALSO GIVE A SPECIAL AWARD TO THE MORGAN/MAUPIN TEAM WHICH WAS AT THE CUTTING EDGE OF JAZZ IN THE EARLY 70S
