Lazaro Vega
The Go:Organic Orchestra is about as different as large ensemble music can be. Interesting to read Lateef's comments regarding John Coltrane. While I'm tempted to say Go:Organic is in the spirit of the great artist collectives of the 70's, and though Lateef puts it in perspective as post-Coltrane, soundwise they freely mix creative improvised music, "contemporary" classical music and folk sounds (if not forms).
