Does anyone here know if reissues from ArkivMusic are CDRs?

I believe all the hard to find reissues are CDRs (when it says it is a special order). I bought a few and they seem fine to me. They do stock in-print CDs as well, like the ones from Naxos, that wouldn't be worth creating as CDRs. I certainly think they are legit, but I didn't go look up their business license or anything.

The website says ArkivMusic is a subsidiary of Steinway Musical Instruments, Inc. They are based in the US. So most likely all reissues are licensed properly, but I guess you never know nowadays.

Arkiv is 1000% legit-- you get printed CD-R full color xerox package inc. booklet/libretto-- not sure about slipcase on operas etc with such.

Whether you wanna pay for that or search out an elusive-- perhaps 'collectible'-- original is up to you.

They've done some never-on-cd stuff too but in any case, it's a stand-up, fully authorized operation.
