Within a month or two she bought a full size one and passed the Nano on to me. I never registered ownership with Apple and don't believe Carla did either, but I did receive the email from Apple. All I can figure is they pulled the info from the unit while I was connected to iTunes. Kinda spooky. They heard that people were downloading music illegally then listening to it on portable devices without a care in the world. It had to be stopped. The 'replacement' is a tiny pewter bust of the late Steve Jobs. No bigger than your thumb. Makes a fantastic gift!
