A recording of a January 1971 performance by louis Armstrong at the National Press Club in Washington is coming out on Smithsonian Folkways Recordings. It was one of Satchmo's last appearance before his death six months later.

Just having my very first listen to the Chicago 2CD set - very good!
Guess that Basin Street will be mighty fine, too (besides Bigard, that is - it's mentioned on the blog that he's doing his usual aimless noodling - usual, that is, for Satchmo All Stars era playing... with Duke he was, uhm, usually, fine).
