Which jazz tunes would make great ringtones?

I was listening to "Piazza Navona" from the MJQ Mosaic set (originally from The Comedy lp), and it occurred to me that a short snippet of it would make a great ringtone. Which other jazz performances, 5 - 10 seconds in length, would make a wonderful ringtone?

I'd consider the opening of "Song for My Father" except that most people who hear it would think I really like "Rikki Don't Lose That Number" enough to make it my ringtone.

Then again, when I think about it, that makes perfect sense as a ringtone, right? :g

I use "Milestones". (I used to use Kate and Anna McGarrigle's "Kiss and Say Goodbye" which begins "Call me if you're coming to town" but I always thought I was hearing it from a radio. For some reason that doesn't happen with Milestones.)

I use "Milestones".

I assume you mean the second one, from the album of the same name. I used to use it too. I find that staccato, repetetive themes are best. I'm now using Cousin Mary.

Armstrong's stop-time solo from Potato Head Blues might be fun.

Edit: It was such a good idea I just did it!

My ringtone for about five years or so has been The Art Ensemble's "Theme de Yoyo." Opening theme through the "breakdown." Makes me chuckle almost every time I hear it.

You win the coolest ringtone ever award. :g

Has your phone ever rung in public and a stranger acknowledged your ringtone. I would have to acknowledge it politely at least if I heard it on a train :D
