I was really hoping to break this news myself but I do have more information on the Grant Green. Like the Hank Mobley release, Grant was not the leader on this club set. The leader is organist Sam Lazar, who recorded, iirc, three times for Argo and then disappeared. Several tracks were identified by listening to Space Flight. In fact, now that I look at the Grant Green discography, this club gig took place some months prior to the recording session.

Really looking forward to this and I doubt I'll wait til Christmas to let someone else pay for it.

Edit to add: full band is Green, Lazar, Chauncy Williams (drums) and Bob Graf (tenor sax)

Is the Wess/Coles a New Release or is it a reissue of this?

Given that it shares the same title, I'd imagine it is.

The Wess/Coles date sounds like an interesting one plus Kenny Barron to boot.

I have the LP. It's a great date IMO. And now with a live set added, I'm all in on this one.

Sorry if I missed the info. Where is the live set recorded? I saw Wess and Coles near the end of Coles' life at Yoshi's and, I think some where in Los Angeles.
