medjuck
A very minor complaint: I always click on new content after I log on and don't always notice in which forum topics are started. If I reopen the board later, topics I've read don't show up as new content unless someone adds a post. Sometimes i like to think a bit before I add a post but if I've left the board and the topic doesn't come up under new content I have to guess which forum it might be under. Is there a way to just leave the posts in chronological order and not remove the ones you've already read? (Does this make sense-- I'm not sure I'm using the right terminology.) Shawn
Yeah, that's an irritation but I'm afraid it is "by design" so that only "unread topics" show up under the view new content link. The recent upgrade to the Hoffman board has the exact same behavior.
David Ayers
No. We covered this. After you click 'view new content' you can change the setting on the left hand menu. The *default* is show only unread content but you can change that to e.g. all content from last 24 hours etc.
Shawn
Okay, thanks for the tip.
Dan Gould
Last couple of days, View New Content has ceased to function. Since no one else has posted I guess it must be something unique to my system. But it comes up empty even if I choose the "last month" filtering option, when at least that should bring up threads I haven't been looking at. When I go to sub-forums to see what is new, nothing is new - meaning there is no button to go to the first new post, even though there are new posts. I look at the time of the 'last post' and that tells me if its new or not. Even then I have to scroll down the last page to see what is new. Very weird and rather aggravating. OK, now the same thing is happening on my work computer, which is Windows 7 Professional (home is XP). WTF??
