The Magnificent Goldberg
Well, not this one. http://eil.com/images/main/Sonny+Clark+-+Leapin'+And+Lopin'+-+LP+RECORD-364272.jpg Just tried posting this with 3 other .jpg images and got a message saying I wasn't allowed to post files with that extension. Didn't say which one it was complaining about. So I started deleting each image, then putting it back and when the Sonny Clark was deleted, it posted OK. So I used a different image. OK. But what's different about this one? Buggered if I can see the difference. Won't let me post it in this thread, either. At least it's consistent. MG Ah, when I hit the link, I got a message from eil saying the page wasn't available. Usually that gives you a little red cross, not an error message. The Magnificent Goldberg
No - all from different sites. Got to be connected with the fact that you get a message from eil, rather than a red x. MG
sonnymax
Sorry, I just deleted my post after I edited it by successfully copying a Sonny Clark jpeg from that site. Can you post the link(s) that were giving you a problem?
sonnymax
I went to the site and copied the image location myself. Here's the result: My link: http://eil.com/images/main/Sonny+Clark+%2D+Leapin%27+And+Lopin%27+%2D+LP+RECORD-364272.jpg Your link: http://eil.com/images/main/Sonny+Clark+-+Leapin" +and+lopin'+-+lp+record-364272.jpg I think somehow you're copying the links incorrectly, since there seems to be a break in the link you tried to post. Agree with sonnymax. When I using the your link it wouldn't work. When I went to the same site directly and just picked a picture of Cream's Disraeli gears's...it posted without a problem. GA Russell
When I cut and paste the press release emails I receive, the board rejects the jpegs.
The Magnificent Goldberg
this is the link http://eil.com/images/main/Sonny+Clark+-+Leapin'+And+Lopin'+-+LP+RECORD-364272.jpg It's the same link Sonnymax used. When I put this string into the little box above the reply box What happens? It tells me I'm not allowed to post that extension here. MG But when I use Sonnymax's string above I actually get the image from eil [http://eil.com/im ages/main/Sonny+Clark+-+Leapin%27+And+Lopin%27+-+LP+RECORD-364272.jpg] And it actually posts!!!! Jim R
Your link (without the http://eil.com/ portion) looks like this: images/main/Sonny+Clark+-+Leapin It breaks off right where you have an apostrophe after "Leapin". In sonnymax's link, the apostrophes after the words "Leapin" and "Lopin" are replaced by "%27". After opening the image page at eil using sonnymax's link, I inserted the apostrophes back in place of the "%27"s, and the image still appears. I then opened a new browser window and tried the link with the apostrophes again, and it worked again. It's going to take a more computer-savvy person than I to understand that. At any rate, there does seem to be an issue with the apostrophes (I recall that we couldn't use quotation marks in thread links on one of the boards... maybe this is a related problem). The Magnificent Goldberg
So the apostrophe version must be appearing in the google search but not elsewhere. Strange. MG

Jim R
The eil image sucks anyway. Compare it with this one, for example:
