Posted August 23, 2014 Report Share Posted August 23, 2014 (edited) Early in Bruce Lundvall: Playing by Ear, an authorized biography by Dan Ouellette, published this year through ArtistShare, theres a retelling of a conversation between a teenage Mr. Lundvall and his father, who was a mechanical engineer. I feel like Was holds much closer to the original philosophy of Alfred Lion and Frank Wolff, although like I said a while back, the Blue Note of today marketing wise seems to be a redux of Blue Note Hits a New Note in a way, except the quality of the music is much better tastes notwithstanding.
