djcavanagh
I was in Reckless Records last week while in Chicago and thought someone might be interested in the (sealed!) Nat King Cole Mosaic box that they had for $450 (quite a bit less than I paid for mine). It still seems to be available according to their website and I believe that they will ship. colinmce
Shipping is always a flat $6. I've bought as much as 5 LPs and 7-8 CDs at once at it was still $
gmonahan
Thanks for this! Decided to do it for my birthday. I note they also have the Art Blakey 1960 Mosaic and the Serge Chaloff Mosaic for fair prices if anyone is interested. gregmo
colinmce
Nice. I scored many Mosaics from there in the past.

parroja
I'm wondering, what is the most valuable Mosaic set? Nat King Cole must be near the top of the list.
gmonahan
Got my lovely sealed set from Reckless. Thanks again, djcavanaugh, for the heads-up! This means that I now have 18 cd-rs and a nicely photocopied booklet that I'll need to get rid of. As for the most valuable single set, this one would come close. I think it's the biggest Mosaic ever did. The Commodore LP sets would probably be next? gregmo
colinmce
From what I've seen-- though it's been a few years since I checked Mosaic auctions obsessively-- the Ferguson and Jones-Lewis sets are among the most expensive, often ending in the $600-700 range. The Bill Evans LP set always went over $500. The Miles LP sets were also way up there. The Count Basie sets, Anita O'Day, Larry Young, and Dinah Washington ones also went above average. The Commodores, generally not as much as you might think. You could check for a year and probably compile the three volumes for less than $1000. Who knows if this is the way it still is, though.
