I wish our paths were going to cross. If you could swing by Cedar Rapids before heading east to New York, I'm pretty sure I could get the motel breakfast room for an evening concert. Unplug the Mr. Coffee and plug in the B3. Put some Hy-Vee pretzels in the bins usually filled with Frosted Flakes. I could probably get an announcement on the Kirkwood Community College jazz radio station KCCK; you're on their 2015 playlist five times.

Still not sold on the idea? How 'bout this: Quilting Show this weekend!

Seriously, enjoy the tour!

I saw them several years ago at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, wonderful experience! Unfortunately, we will be away on May 22, but I recommend their sets to anyone close to Philly. Chris' Jazz Cafe is a wonderful venue. Nice size, congenial atmosphere, very reasonable prices, and good food from what I remember (saw Larry McKenna there several years ago).

If I did not have a conflict I would catch the band in Marlboro. I have been to the Falcon recently and it is a nice venue. Hope you guys get a good turnout. When I heard the Aruan Ortiz trio there about fifteen people were in the audience.

I will be at the DC show of course, and I also plan to hit the two Harrisburg shows since it's only 2 hours away from DC. How do you get tickets for the second place? I can't seem to find a link or anything. I also need to call them about their menu.

Note: Smithsonian is not an encore performance, alas, it is a rescheduling of a show that had to be postponed due to 'national events' (think Green Eggs and ham for 24 hours).

Bertrand.

I will be at the Smithsonian show as well, ...with friends!

For the historians, just how long ago was the Organissimo hit at Twins in DC?? I still recall "Peaches en Regalia" then.

I think that was 2006. Long time ago. We no longer have Peaches in the repertoire, since we've been through two guitarists since then. We'll get it back in the setlist one of these days.

It will be great to see you again!

Loved the concert last night! - my first Big O show, finally! I'd met Jim before at one of Janiva's gigs back in Kansas City (just before I moved to DC), but it was great to finally meet Randy after all these years, and Larry too!!

Best of luck with the rest of the tour!

I attended the Wednesday night concert at The Falcon in Marlboro, NY with a non-jazz familiar, blues loving, friend. Friend dug the entire group and especially the guitarist. I enjoyed all three members of the band. About 1 3/4 hour show non-stop. Wonderful music. Funny, before the show the club owner was not sure what to expect. After one tune he was extolling the musicianship!!!!!!

Jim-what was the one-hit pop wonder you played?- Oooh Baby?
