ArtSalt
As it happens, I was back in Blighty on a business trip a couple of weeks back and in the hotel I was staying the DVLA were running personalised number plate auctions over several days. We got speaking to one of the auctioners one evening in the cocktail hour an the highest selling number plate that day had been GBP 168,000. Bonkers wot?! Spontooneous
A few years ago I saw that the Kansas Department of Revenue issued somebody the license plate GANJA. I'm guessing the cops often found excuses to pull that driver over. Edited May 25, 2015 by Spontooneous

Dave Garrett
http://www.theguardian.com/money/2015/may/22/dvla-bans-bl03-job-but-allows-an-org45m If I lived in the UK and had PEN 15, I'd have to register it with a Lotus Esprit, as a nod to a long-ago Usenet acquaintance who owned one and referred to it as his British Roadpenis. Recently this guy made the local news with a plate that slipped by the Texas agency responsible for vetting vanity plate applications. After the news reporter pointed it out to them while seeking comments for his story, they indicated that they were going to recall it. Killjoys. Jazzmoose
Wow. With the amount of time it took me to figure that one out, a Chevy Vega with a missing piston would have been five miles down the road anyway.
BeBop
The "Lamborghini" is almost redundant.
