mikeweil
Am I correct in assuming the material on this CD from 3 sessions from 1940/41 was not included in the Ellington Centennial Box Set? According to the Lord disco, it was not - I am on vacation, so I cannot walk to the shelf and look ...

ghost of miles
Excellent single-disc compilation of the Victor small group sides--I traded it in when the box came out.
JSngry
Love the covers on that run of RCA reissues.
Big Beat Steve
Love the covers on that run of RCA reissues. So that's how tastes differ too. I've always HATED them (including on the Bluebird vinyls from that period - not the 70s twofers - that were omnipresent for a time too). Pointless naivity based on existing photographs. One of those many cases during that period when you bought records/CDs DESPITE the cover "art"work.
paul secor
The cover of this one is especially ugly - at least to my eyes.
