I set up the first session for Muhal Richard Abrams but "ran away" before his sessions took place. But, I haven't beenable to find out what happened toEarl McGhee. A fellow I spoke withfrom WNIB began working there in '74and didn't know who I was talking about.I even named my first radio show "Transition"back in the day. That was sublime. Also, the Abraham Lincoln Day concert in Hyde Park (I think), where Roscoe and Lester wore tail coats and stove pipe hats and began with what seemed like an at once affectionate and semi-satirical takeoff on the Baker-Mulligan Quartet?
