niels
Well, what I find rather intersting is that it is all so extremely American centered. Now I don't know how well Jazz from the rest of the world get exposed in America but this is the first thing I notice about the list. It's nice Chris Lightcap's record on the Portugese Clean Feed label made it for instance, but of all the amazing output on CF this year this whas definately not between the best of them (my personal opinion of course). paul secor
I think it should have been higher that 31st, but I'm glad it's there.

Teasing the Korean
There are "jazz critics" in 2015. That is pretty funny.

The numbers are growing "For 10 consecutive years, this poll has been a labor of love by eminent critic Francis Davis. It's grown tremendously since he initially submitted the consensus of 30 writers to The Village Voice in 2006. Over the last month, print journalists, bloggers and broadcasters nominated more than 700 different albums. We're thrilled to host his exhaustive project on our site." Larry Kart
I dropped out of the NPR poll several years ago because I felt I wasn't hearing a decent cross section of new releases.
