Ted O'Reilly Posted January 6, 2016 Report Share Posted January 6, 2016 Don't know anything about Lorden, but he's a veteran sideman, spending a long, long time in Harry James' bands from the '40s through the '60s (mostly on alto), and then a few years in that Miller band under both McKinley and Buddy DeFranco. Lorden seems to be one of those eternal go-to fine musicians (all the reeds, some arranging) that are the backbone of the professional scene now long-gone.
