Oh yes. I like that one too.  Walter's DLvdE with Ferrier is the recording that most folks rave about, but I actually like the Hafliger/Miller version just as much.

That said, Kubelik's live recording with Janet Baker and Waldemar Kmentt is my "desert-island" choice.

For whatever reason, Klemperer's Mahler -- including the Wunderlich/Ludwig DLvdE that you mention -- has never really grabbed me.  I like Klemps in other repertoire, but not so much in Mahler.

Just ordered the Kubelik. Thanks for the recommendation.

Now I've listened to it. Thanks again.

Although him not being my Mahler "go to conductor" this late Klemperer Mahler 2 from 1965 in Munich is a gem .... with the tempi slowed down a few notches this performance unfolds the sheer beauty of this euvre with both Heather Harper and Janet Baker in excellent shape ....

O.K.  I'm listening to it right now via YT.

I know Klemperer's studio M2 with the Philharmonia, Schwarzkopf & Rössl-Majdan -- but I've never heard this live version before.
