Splendid Bruckner 7 recorded @ Studio Lukaskirche Dresden in July 1980 .... beautiful sounding japanese Blu-Spec CD edition .... this one (CD Denon COCO-73137 Blu Spec CD)  and the Bruckner 4 (recorded September 1981 and released as Denon COCO-73146) are still available for rather little money - both come highly recommended ....

Just so happens:

Richard Strauss — Chicago Symphony Orchestra – Fritz Reiner (RCA Victor Red Seal Living Stereo / Sony Classical)
– Also sprach Zarathustra Op.30 tone poem after Friedrich Nietzsche
– Salome Op.54: Dance of the seven veils - John Weicher, violin

Recorded in 1954 in both mono and stereo, the mono version of Op.30 was released in 1954, but the stereo version wasn't released until 1960.

Wilfred Josephs - Works for Clarinet (Metier)

One quintet and two duo sonatas - well worth exploring. Gorgeous music, lyrical, yet expressive 20th century stuff
