Having never hear of Jose White, I did not understand what his music was about until I looked up his dateline, and then, ok, that's why. Multiple listening bring out the personality of the music, which is very nice indeed. The Baker piece is very impressive, but I'd like to hear a more "lived-in" reading of it, because it seems like it SHOULD be lived in.
