Interesting that all the photos from this set come from Blue Note sessions.

That's common to all Mosaics because as somone here said they own the rights to all Wolff pictures.

Listening now to the Savoy box for the first time; I'm through disc 5.  Reserving opinion on the sound quality until I can A/B with some other things in my collection, such as earlier Savoy reissues and the Serge Chaloff titles on the Chaloff Mosaic box.  But it's really interesting to hear this material in a label-centric way, as opposed to a collection focused on a particular artist.  Because the sessions appear chronologically, you really get a sense of the times.  Things were frantic!  Virtually every track so far is taken at a hyper tempo.  Makes me think of Symphony Sid's repeated references to "all-frantic."  It's almost like this was music tailored for an audience hopped-up on bennies.

These sets are great and even better when taken in small doses IMO.  It helps keep the music within the perspective of the times it was developing.
