A great deal of the several discs is narration and the playing of music by others, who were an influence on Sun Ra, according to the narrator. The actual Sun Ra recordings are interesting enough, but not essential enough to justify the purchase of this set, unless you are just a Sun Ra completist. chewy-chew-chew-bean-benitez Posted January 28, 2017 Author Report Share Posted January 28, 2017 i have the template 100% spot on perfect now so if anyone wants all of it PM me. sections are as follows Sun Ra solo / rehersal / duet / trio / arkestra rare tapes 1948-60o Sun Ra session work (Sun playing in the band + sometimes arrangements) Sun Ra Arrangements (no Sun Ra playing but arranging only) **CONFIRMED ARRANGEMENTS **UNCONFIRMED ARRANGEMENTS as you pointed out above there is a LOT of stuff in the set that may or may not have to do w/ ra well i upon extreme careful listening, I wheedled it down to a VERY select number of unconfirmed arrangements that are most probs Ra. espically this one called "Nagasaki",--- what do you think----- the paul bascomb w/ the solovox makes sense to me too, how many other ppl were rockin that then. u know what i mean. the solo church organ solo pieces (some of the earliest material included) are incredible Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
