Big Beat Steve
Not to let this pass under the radar: Michael Naura, pianist, bandleader, radio MC and key personality of German and European jazz for most of the decades since the mid-1950 passed away on Monday, 13 Feb. RIP
Balladeer
Talked to Naura once shortly at Jazz Baltica. Aside from his role as a musician he also wrote in a highly original style and very wittily about jazz. There was a time when I was looking forward to his short, brilliant reviews and portraits for German weekly Die Zeit Thanks for your music and words, Mr. Naura!..
