Gust William Tsilis & Alithea with Arthur Blythe - Pale Fire (Enja, 1988)
with Gust William Tsilis (vib); Arthur Blythe (as); Allen Farnham (kybd); Anthony Cox (b); Horacee Arnold (d); Arto Tuncboyaciyan (perc, vo)

Digging up more stuff with Anthony Cox. ... This is very interesting, so far.  Nicely out-of-the-ordinary compositions.

Arthur Blythe. What a distinctive sound he had!

Here's the review (it's from allmusic.com originally).

"Duke Pearson followed the conventions of the time and cut a smooth, commercially-oriented jazz album that made allusions to traditional and contemporary pop, hard bop, soul-jazz and bossa nova... Although the record is a pleasant artifact of its time, it's a rather sad, undistinguished way to close out Pearson's career."

Reads like BS to me.

Especially when presented with the evidence:

I smell the back cover -

Closing the night with Mr. Natural, with Lee Morgan, McCoy Tyner, Bob Cranshaw, Elvin Jones and Ray Barretto.  This set is propelling itself to among my favorite Mosaics already.  Every single session has an inspired lineup.

I've been listening to every session twice before moving on, so I am listening to this one again.
