With lyrics and the right singer, "Afraid Of Love" could become a modern-day (sic) "saloon song".

The whole records reminds me that Duke Person & Stanley Turrentine were not the only people who could make a record of this sound and feel (and Teddy not only served both functions, he just needed two additional horns!) - but that maybe Rudy was the only one who could get the record to sound like tat,

No matter - it's a darn good record!

Two albums of the 70´s with Oscar Peterson involved.

Eddie Lockjaw Davis is one of my favourites, he is so unique. I saw him live on several occasions.

The "In tune" album with the Singers Unlimited sold very well, Many people during that time listened to them, great music, great vocal arrangement and fine contributions by Peterson.

I've never heard that album -- but the Gregg Smith Singers' LPs of Charles Ives' music are treasures.

They're the only vocal ensemble I've heard that makes Ives' choral music sound completely "Ivesian" -- with all the jostling and rough edges left intact.

Especially as heard on this LP:

Just the download, for now.   Haven't received the CD yet.
