Recorded at a live gig, and it's very much got a "Jazz In The Park" blankets and picnics type vibe going on, definitely "for the people", this is not the way you normally hear Monk, ever. But, the vibe is true, King Britt adds some ambience that quirks things up just enough, and the whole thing has got pocket out the ass. At first I was like, "seriously? Justin V Posted August 30, 2019 Report Share Posted August 30, 2019 Don Lewis - The Colour of Time: Lewis owned a jazz club in Milwaukee and was killed by an employee in 2016.  I made a mental note to check out his music and recently bought his The Other Side of Town.  Talk about tone!  If you played a track from of his on a blindfold test, jaws would drop. His sound was gorgeous.
