Any and all criticisms are valid, but the fact remains that there is some seriously badass guitar playing here in front of a seriously badass band who is doing some seriously badass (role)playing. I mean, Phil Upchurch on rhythm guitar, that's all you need to know. Phil Upchurch ain't gonna leave the groove at home, you know?

Besides, some of this singing ir REALLY good. And some of it's not. Oh well!

From the Bee Hive Mosaic.  Roy Haynes!  'Donna Lee' done at such a breakneck tempo is a heck of a way to start the record.

Now that's one I haven't heard since it was a new album!

And how it swings!! :)

I loved it! Listening right now to a session that Buster plays on about 20 years prior:

I purchased it yesterday. Great Encounter of Dexter with Al Haig. But Maybe not among Dexter´s greatest Albums, but interesting enough for listening...

A "Speakers Corner" reissue. Did They license it from Mercury and have credited that?

A very fine Album. Once I saw Tommy Flanagan live , also with George Mraz on bass, but with Art Taylor on drums…..

I just stole that image from the internet and my copy is not a Speaker's Corner reissue.
