I got to spend the last nine years with my Dad and develop a friendship I never dreamed I would have. And he has been bed-ridden in Hospice for 13 months, it is not right for anyone to be bed-ridden that long. He was a fantastic man I am going to celebrate rather than be sad over. I never saw him, but one of my first three jazz LPs (all received at once) was his fantastic "Blues Shout" on Atlantic which influenced my jazz. discovery..
