kinuta
I came across this series in a local shop and thought it was worth posting. I'm thinking of getting some for myself. http://www.disknote.jp/product-list/101 Click on the pics for a better view. If anyone needs help with the Japanese let me know. sidewinder
Those releases/reissues came out on vinyl over here back in the 1980s - there's some great stuff on there, particularly the Kenny Grahams and Ronnie Scotts. I think they came out after Carlo Krahmer had passed on so Peter Newbrook must have put them out. Indeed - I think Acrobat did a recent CD issue of the Whittle Esquire recordings, as well as at least one issue of Ronnie Scott mateial. Those are usually well worth getti hold of for Simon Spillet's sleeve notes alone.
jazzbo
I ordered the Johnny Hodges (actually twice, once by accident) and it doesn't sound great but it's interesting.
sidewinder
The couple of releases by the fine multi-instrumentalist Alan Branscombe look interesting.
