Rooster_Ties
I'll be darn, Silver Spring MD, 15 minutes from where I live in DC. Clealy I love the stuff he did with Tyrone Washington, but those 2(?) longer German modern big band tracks are fantastic as well, also from the Brains on Fire stuff (iirc). RIP. JSngry
He had a very unique vision, and he seemed to get the players he hired onboard with it. I very much appreciate both him and them for that. RIP, and the fullest props extended.

bertrand
I had no idea he lived near me. I thought he was in Germany.
JSngry
Thad Jones, George Adams, George Lewis, Stanley Cowell, Reggie Workman, Lennie White, Michael Cuscuna...and Heiner Stadler getting them all on board with a concept that none of them chould have played on their own. And let us not forget this one, perhaps DeeDee Bridgwater's finest moment, all things considered.
danasgoodstuff
Had that Tribute to M & B thing and gave it to a musician who I thought might better appreciate than I, not my cuppa but I totally admire the ambition.
clifford_thornton
RIP. Interesting character and I'm glad for the work, even if I didn't totally connect with it.
