I love the smell of old Mosaic sets in the morning

Recommended Posts

I've sniffed my collection and concluded what whilst Mosaics smell dandy any time of the day, it's really shellac that has the most distinctive aroma. However stumbling around with 78s first thing is only likely to lead to breakage. So instead this morning it was the Herbie Nichols set with a strong coffee. Breathe deep and smile.

Sounds good. If you weren't already completely awake, Mr. Nichols could finish the job.

Hm, okay ... one thing: most of the CDs bought from Trueblue back in the day *did* have a particular smell actually, not a bad one but a weird one ... I think I noticed the same on other discs delivered from the US, but never with ol'yurpeen ones ... must be that smell Dvořák had in mind when he wrote that symphony (or not :g)
