I know that some of you back up your downloads.  This is the sort of thing you use, right?

Samsung T5 Portable SSD - 1TB - USB 3.1 External SSD (MU-PA1T0B/AM) - $177.99

Solid state drives are fast and expensive. Speed and portability are not the most important features in backing up a music library. You want more storage space at a cheaper price. You can get eight times the storage space for less money than the product you listed. Here's one I use that provides 4TB for only $90:

WD 4TB Elements Desktop Hard Drive - USB 3.0 - WDBWLG0040HBK-NESN

That's what I use too.  Workhorses, dependable.  I've been disappointed with Seagate in the past; WD has been great.

Wirecutter yesterday recommended the U-Turn Orbit Custom turntable, which starts at only $179.00.  The price goes up if you add a cue lever or a preamp.

As I said earlier up in the thread, you need to add the cue arm. No manual turntable should be offered without a cue arm. You're just looking for damaged LPs that way. :)
