An epicenter of this evolution was The Music Inn, a musical oasis nestled in the Berkshire Mountains. Featuring Percy Heath, John Lewis, Dave Brubeck, Gunther Schuller, Stephanie Barber and more, this fascinating collection of remembrances and anecdotes highlights The Modern Jazz Quartet’s role in developing The Music Inn’s iconic School of Jazz. This workshop is open to all musicians of middle school age or higher (ages 12 and up). Bring your instrument! Intermediate playing and reading ability recommended. Registration required.
